Spectrum Services Fees, Rebates and Policies
Payment Options
We offer flexible payment options to make accessing our services convenient for everyone. You can book with us through:
Cancellation Policy
We understand that unexpected things happen, and we do ask to please let us know as soon as possible if you are unable to attend.
To be fair to all clients and our clinicians and maintain our service quality, we require a cancellation fee policy agreement before entering our service. Your understanding is appreciated, and we're here to answer any questions.
Your appointment and wellbeing are important! If you must cancel your appointment, it is respectfully asked you provide 2 FULL business days notice. Failure to cancel outside the 2 days notice period or attend an appointment may result in a cancellation fee.
Why We Charge a Cancellation Fee: When appointments are missed or cancelled within two business days, it affects three people:
You: Missing sessions can hinder your progress as you're not receiving the support you've engaged us for.
Others in Need: Late cancellations mean we can't offer slots to others on our waiting list who could benefit.
Our Clinicians: Our team invests time preparing for your sessions, and unused appointments affect their schedules and results in a loss.
Travel – Why Therapy Delivered Outside of Our Clinic Might Be Beneficial
We understand that every individual learns and thrives in different ways. For some neurodiverse clients, delivering therapy in familiar environments, such as home, school, or the community, can offer unique benefits that help them feel safe, regulated, and more able to engage. While we do charge travel fees for these services, they are often well worth the added value.
Here’s why:
-
Therapy in a real-world setting helps individuals learn and practise skills in the environments where they naturally live, learn, and interact. This means they’re more likely to retain and apply what they’ve learned in an everyday environment.
-
For many neurodiverse individuals, unfamiliar environments can be overwhelming or anxiety inducing. Being in a familiar setting like home or school helps them feel calmer and safer, allowing them to better engage in therapy.
-
Being in the home or classroom gives therapists a first-hand look at daily routines, sensory triggers, and the natural social environment. This leads to more tailored, practical strategies that truly fit the person's life.
-
Therapy in natural settings can involve parents, caregivers, teachers, and support workers, all important people in the individual’s life. Including them helps build consistency, shared understanding, and stronger outcomes through team support.
-
Sometimes, getting to a clinic is logistically difficult or tiring, especially for clients with sensory sensitivities or those who are easily dysregulated by transitions. Bringing therapy to them makes it more accessible and less stressful for them and their families.
-
At home or school, therapists can work on real-world functional goals like managing morning routines, improving transitions, supporting learning participation, or increasing independence in everyday tasks such as meal preparation and household duties.
If you have elected to have therapy outside of our clinic, your therapist cannot see any other clients while they are traveling to that appointment so a travel fee is charged on their time. Currently 50% of the clinicians hourly rate will be charge prorata on the time taken to travel to your session.
If you’re ready to book or have any questions about these options, our team is here to help guide you through the process! Ph – 0423 312 392 or info@spectrumservicesqld.com.au
