Shamika is a registered Psychologist who uses a compassionate and friendly approach to support clients of all ages in working toward their goals. She is dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where individuals feel understood and empowered.

After completing her Master of Professional Psychology in Melbourne, Shamika has worked with diverse populations across a variety of presenting concerns, cultural backgrounds, and life experiences. She has particular strengths in working with teenagers and members of the LGBTQIAP+ community.

Shamika draws on evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She has extensive experience supporting individuals on the autism spectrum, as well as people with ADHD, anxiety, depression, and trauma. In addition, she has worked as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner and is skilled in supporting individuals with challenging behaviours.

Shamika is committed to providing therapy that is respectful, inclusive, and tailored to each person’s needs, regardless of age, gender identity, sexuality, or ability.

    As someone who is part of the LGBTQIAP+ community, Shamika is passionate about helping people explore their identity using queer and neuro-affirming approaches.
