Martin Ayres

Martin is a dedicated psychologist who is passionate about supporting individuals across different stages of life, from adolescence through to older adulthood. He creates a collaborative and respectful therapeutic space where clients feel supported in working towards their goals and developing greater resilience.

With experience across private practice and specialist clinical settings, Martin has worked with adolescents, young adults, adults, and seniors presenting with a wide range of concerns. His clinical background includes roles at Healthy Minds Clinical Psychologists, Think Health Specialists, and Spectrum Services QLD.

Martin draws on a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT). His therapeutic style is flexible and tailored to meet each person’s needs.

His professional interests include neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and learning disorders, as well as intellectual developmental disorders. Martin also supports individuals experiencing mood and anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and related presentations.

Outside of his clinical practice, Martin enjoys staying active, spending time with family and friends, and exploring the outdoors. He values balance and well-being in his personal life, which informs his holistic approach to supporting clients.
